what we work on
REGISTERING TIME CAPSULES
The International Time Capsule Society (ITCS) curates and preserves an international library of time capsules. We document and map time capsules so they can be found, accessed and researched over the next few centuries. It strives to document all types of time capsules throughout the world, to make this information more accessible and to promote and enhance the careful study of time capsules. An active registered map of all time capsules is maintained by the NotForgotten Library Depository on behalf of the ITCS.
DIGITIZING 30 YEARS OF TIME CAPSULE RECORDS
Since 1990, the ITCS has been documenting all types of time capsule projects worldwide. The library is in the process of digitzing all the records in its holding. The process involves scanning, transcribing and mapping all time capsule registration documents, and catalogs them on the WorldCat.
SEEKING MOST WANTED TIME CAPSULES
Time capsules usually are lost due to thievery, secrecy or poor planning. Finding them will enrich posterity by assuring that independent voices are heard in the future. The International Time Capsule Society, which has formed with the mission to record the burial of all time capsules, is still in search of nine time capsules of which little is known.
The International Time Capsule Society (ITCS) is an organization established in 1990 to promote the careful study of time capsules. It strives to document and learn about all types of time capsules -discoveries, technologies and motivations.
Our Meetups are something that our loyal and dedicated members look forward to. It is always a great way to share developments, and knowledge, and get to know others with a shared passion.
